In this life I have worn many hats, that of a counselor, an educator, a researcher, a children’s book author, an independent publisher, a stay at home mom and many others. I have postgraduate degrees in counseling and education and I firmly believe that our children need to develop the critical skills and knowledge base required to meet the challenges of an increasingly ‘flat world’.
Orbolo is a play on the words “aur bolo” in Hindi and can be literally translated into “tell (me) more.” It is often used along with the phrase “aur kya ho raha hai?” (what else is happening?) at the start of a conversation or to ask someone to continue his/her story or simply inserted into the lull that follows after a period of sustained conversation. It seemed appropriate to use in a blog about perspectives on education and other topics. Plus it provides a link to my website www.orbolo.com.
